Overkill Methodology

Building a startup is like training for professional sports - it is extremely competitive, your chances of success are slim and conditions can change at any moment. Being good is not enough - to win you need a training framework, coaches & sparring partners.

Having worked with and within startups for years, Overkill knows that sometimes having the brightest idea, smartest team and largest investment is just not enough. That is why we've developed our proprietary methodology on how early-stage startups can increase their chances of success.

Technology Adoption Life Cycle

You have probably seen this good old curve:

This curve tells you to first get to Innovators and then everything will take care of itself... But who the hell are those Innovators? What most founders don't realise is that even this small segment is a big challenge and a big chunk of your first customers.

Beachhead

This is where Overkill comes in - we work on breaking down the concept of Innovators and helping you to conquer your Beachhead.

Your Beachhead is the people ready to buy a product from a completely unknown startup. It is a homogeneous group that will be your first customers, provide real feedback and shape the future of your company. These people are so desperate to solve their problem that they are ready to buy a half-baked product. Once you have the majority of them as customers, you can move on and conquer the world.

Overkill Pre-seed Program

This is what Overkill is about. For 3 months, we work individually with each of the teams and help them determine how to distinguish, reach and capture their Beachhead. We call this accelerating the product-market fit.

We have condensed our learnings into four intense weeks. Through an online program of deep-dives, workshops and mentoring, we aim to provide key insights and crucial learnings without distracting you from your core business. It will not be easy - heck, it might not be possible. But once you have your initial product-market fit, the road ahead will be a tiny bit easier. And who would not give an arm and a leg for an easier ride in the startup world?
