Having worked extensively in the 3D printing industry, Janis became frustrated with the lack of viable solutions in the production process - particularly for startups and scale-ups who might be looking to use the technology for their own innovations. Together with co-founder Reinis, Janis established FabControl with the ambition to make open-system 3D printing accessible to the next generation of innovators. Their unique technology targets the fragmented hardware ecosystem, which gives the preconditions of becoming the main operating system for the rapidly expanding market of 3D printers.
